my experience in 2020

I decided to write my thoughts and daily activity (again). I miss my old self. Meanwhile my mind's rushing, thinking about making videos, a lot of videos but i do nothing this year with video recording, so i guess i'm better in writing. There's so many things i've done year.

Got a new job, so i survived while pandemic

5 phones in 1 year ?

Struggling with 5 smartphones, i tried to buy 2ndhand flagship phones, Google Pixel 2 and Sony XZ. I have new experience playing online games caused of this pandemic. Pixel 2 worked fine, superfine but i got a problem with its battery life. Of course it's secondhand. Same as the Sony XZ, but it worst than Pixel 2. The device was extremely hot and battery drained so fast. So i just use them for 1-2 months. I really love the Pixel 2. I swear. Because it's pure android, it's really me. I'm going to buy it when it come to my priority and i have enough money.

I came back to Balikpapan in the 3rd week in March this year after working at coal site. And after switching my Nokia 5.1 Plus to Pixel 2, i switched again to Redmi Note 8. But before it, i switched to Sony XZ and after i sell it, the sales girl offered me Oppo A12 while i was looking for Redmi Note 8. I just experienced with it for 3 hours maybe, then i returned it to the store and switch it to Redmi Note 8. But i didn't like the thickness of that phone. Guess what ? After a few months i sell it, i bought a new phone with alternative for pure android filter activated. So the only option here with the latest android one phone is Nokia 5.3. 

I love the thickness, i love the feel and experience with Android One. I just love the simplicity and that phone is affordable. The package is quiet complete, yes. I got the original clear case, earphone, the charger and the smartphone itself. Pretty nice package. I don't think Nokia is failed. But i don't know why Indonesian reviewers prefer Oppo than Nokia. Not because i don't like Chinese brand. I love Xiaomi, i use Redmi series since the 1st phone (Redmi 1s) to the 8th. Can be said i am a fangirl. I don't like slow phone compared to its price. By the way, Xiaomi also has an Android One phone. But i think Nokia 5.3 is the latest one.

Install ARCH SBTs +LR Baggs LB Pre to Cort Earth 50

I've currently installed a pickup and preamp for my Cort Earth 50, it's an acoustic guitar with top solid produced in 2018. I want to have an affordable pickup system for my acoustic and i ended up with LR Baggs LB6 series. But i only bought the endpin preamp (from Nuansa Musik) luckily they still have two units. And i also bought a piezo, a cheap one from an official store in Indonesia (Stranough Guitar). I still have it until now because i ended with ARCH SBTs. When i was about to install it (i brought it to the ARCH Guitars) the technician who is also the owner offer me his new transducer pickup named SBTs. It's underbridge transducer, similar to K&K Pure Mini. I was so excited that i really love how it sounds and i was wondering how if i have it inside my guitar and how will it sounds.

Shortly, after my camera sold, i have some to buy that SBTs and finally installed it on my guitar. Mas Arif (ARCH owner) said that the pickup is on limited stock right now, can be said this is the very first wave selling. And of course i'm lucky to get that.

ini adalah bagian dari Mind & The City; pikiran saya tentang orang-orang kota. ada banyak hal yang tidak menyenangkan dalam hidup, begitupun hal yang menyenangkan. tapi, terkadang kita harus bertindak lebih untuk menyingkirkan hal yang tidak baik. seringkali saat saya berniat untuk memperbarui entri di blog ini bukan tanpa tujuan terutama kalau itu adalah Mind & The City. itu adalah untuk melepaskan dan melupakan hal yang selalu menghantui pikiran saya. baik itu perkataan dan pernyataan dari orang lain yang tidak terdengar begitu sopan dan menyenangkan ataupun rasa trauma yang muncul karena nya. 

"writing is healing" saya dapatkan saat membaca caption salah satu foto di instagram. adalah ketika seorang penulis di wawancarai oleh media. saya lupa nama penulisnya, tapi siapapun beliau, terima kasih banyak, pak.

Allah selalu berikan jalan keluar, entah itu kesempatan untuk menghadapi atau pelarian lainnya. saya yakin panggilan kerja ke luar kota November 2019 lalu bukan kebetulan tapi jalan keluar dari rusuhnya pikiran dan hati saya karena berkali kali "dijatuhkan". dalam hati niat awal saya cuma ingin berkarya, berangkat dari kesenangan/hobby saya. 

ada 2 event di akhir tahun 2019 yang hasil akhirnya pelik.

di awal 2019, saya dapat bantuan untuk mendistribusikan karya saya dalam bentuk CD. saya diberi waktu untuk rekaman sampai finishing EP saya tapi tidak ada batasan waktunya. i like it. thanks to Besok Libur Records. masalah pertama muncul karena 1, saya nggak mau mempercayai satu orangpun untuk mengerjakan EP saya karna saya sudah kapok. aransemennya lagu saya bisa berubah, itu rasanya bukan saya lagi jadinya. 

tibalah saat dimana saya ditawari manggung di tengah tahun, saya ambil. yang satu event seru-seruan dan satu lagi event berbayar. Alhamdulillah. singkat cerita saya cari bantuan lagi dan dapat untuk rekaman gratis. dengan berat, saya coba ketemu dan sempat ke studionya juga. dari status "gratis" aja saya sudah melanggar prinsip saya. karena berangkat dari gratis, banyak hal yang harus di filter even gratis. tapi ternyata nggak. masalahnya, hal yang tidak diinginkan terjadi lagi. ada usaha dan saran untuk melakukan aransemen. merombak lagu saya ? saya disuruh cari penyanyi lain untuk nyanyikan semua lagu saya. what's wrong with you man ?! he started to compare with Raisa dan ngomongin promotion and other things, nggak salah ? tinggi amat omongan. aku mah remahan biskuit. i just want to get it all done. 

kayak anak kecil ngambek karna dibelikan mainan yang bukan kemauan dia. saya alihkan fokus saya, karna saya udah males kalo harus ngulang dari awal. lagian, itu kan lagu saya. saya berhak memutuskan lanjut atau nggak. saya akui saya emang kayak anak kecil ngambek tapi nggak apa kalau karna itu saya dibilangin nggak jelas dsbnya. 

haruskah orang membaca ekspresi atau respon orang lain ketika kita melontarkan kalimat/pernyataan yang tidak menyenangkan ? bagi saya, harus. kenapa sih kita harus memaksakan kehendak kita, cuma karna dikasih rekaman gratis ? mending saya bayar, tapi sesuai keinginan saya dan pastinya bukan di tempat yang sama :)

pertama, saya rugi waktu. rugi waktu mendengarkan ocehan orang yang bukan profesional. kedua, pengalihan fokus saya ternyata salah.

ikut sertifikasi musik karna penasaran

saya penasaran sama sistem sertifikasi musik yang diadakan di tenggarong akhir tahun 2019 lalu. tepat beberapa minggu setelah saya "kabur" dari tawaran rekaman gratis. sertifikasi musik jelas bukan untuk saya. saya liat banyak banget guru musik, wedding band, dan pemain musik lainnya. tapi saya pengen tau, apa dan gimana sertifikasi musik itu. sayangnya, cuma boleh pilih 1 instrumen. tapi saya pilih vokal dimana saya nggak bisa tehniknya. tes tertulis aman, tes praktek ? gagal total. 

saya sudah di bidik waktu malam tes ensemble karna gara-gara saya nggak tau banyak lagu, karna nyanyi nya kerendahan dan lain sebagainya. 

tes praktek solo, even worst. i am not a diva. i just want to know how you guys work this event. tes praktek solo dilakukan di ruangan tertutup tapi suaranya bocor keluar dan saya orang pertama yang di tes. nyanyi 1 bait, disuruh stop, wait.. ini bukan audisi indonesian idol kan ?

dan ini kata panitia nya, juri atau apalah. beliau adalah orang terkenal, tapi saya nggak tau. ini yang dikatakan :

"kamu bukan penyanyi"

"kenapa nggak ambil tes gitar aja ?"

"kamu harus belajar lagi, saya yang sudah tua aja masih punya guru"

persis kayak obrolan orang tua ke anak kecil. dan cuma 1 intinya, she was trying to say "you can't do it, tyas. learn it more or just stop".

saya nggak tau gimana caranya 2 circle tersebut berhasil menjatuhkan saya. tapi setelah itu saya dapat tawaran kerja di pameran buku Malaysia. projectnya berlangsung kurang lebih 2 minggu di Dome Balikpapan. saya jadi team leader di non fiction section. i love that job. 

setelah project itu selesai, saya main di Samarinda, bintang tamunya penyanyi indie dari Canada. dan sempat main juga di Telkom Balikpapan di hari Pahlawan. 

setelah itu lagi, saya diterima kembali ke perusahaan saya dulu bekerja dan berangkat ke Melak dan tinggal disana selama 4 bulan. mungkin ini yang dinamakan "habis gelap, terbitlah terang." atau "bersakit-sakit dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian."

ini bukan cerita detailnya tapi kurang lebih seperti itulah cerita nya jatuh dan bangkit. kita nggak perlu bertinggi-tinggi omongan kalau tujuannya untuk mengecilkan orang lain. kita berhak memutuskan atas hidup kita sendiri. jangan berlama-lama berdiam diri di circle yang tidak lebih baik dari impianmu. jangan lupa, memaafkan :)

what's up ?

well, for many times i'm telling my plan. eventho people say never tell your plan, but just let me do that. what's my goal ? to publish an EP, and then what next ? do a live perform ? online releasing ? 

i've been thinking of what i wanna do next, but i might forget "let it flow" principal. life become easier if we follow our heart. so i come with this idea, why not publish an album instead of the short one ? 

for those who waiting so long, sorry but thanks. it is not over confident but even if it is just a saying or a true prays.. i'm lucky to have people that believe in me. 

whatever it will be, whenever i go, i promise myself to not give up this time. 'cause i've been there, it is not that good. but i am still the same person back then. i will bring all the hurts and the pain with me. so i will not fall into the same mistakes anymore. hope y'all do good in your life. i only hope for the good thing instead the bad one.

google pixel 2 di 2020 ?

(entri kali ini ada 2 bahasa, semoga bermanfaat)

jadi, aku baru aja beli pixel 2 setelah 8 bulan pake nokia 5.1 plus (anti mainstream banget kan?) ada alasan kenapa aku pilih nokia tapi aku nggak akan kasih tau karena itu cuma soal sudut pandang dan aku mungkin cuma orang yang anti mainstream. aku juga sempat mau coba Advan yang keluaran terbaru yang punya 3 kamera kayak desain iphone. keren, hape lokal yang berani berinovasi. dan aku nggak pernah ngeremehin hape lokal, tapi karna aku ada liat iklan google pixel yang bisa aku dapetin second di Balikpapan, harganya juga cocok jadi kenapa nggak. hape impian banget soalnya.

apa yang aku dapat ?

kotak, hp, charger, kabel data, headset bluetooth, pin, nota, petunjuk, case

• sudah update ke android 10 ✓
• ram dan memori internal besar 4/128 ✓
• harga yang menarik untuk mantan hp flagship ✓

kekurangan yang didapet karna ini hape second adalah 

1. lumayan banyak dent
2. battery health yang bisa di tes pake accu battery cuma sekitar 75 % tapi lumayan
3. kabel data, charger dan headset bukan bawaan aslinya tapi semua kompatibel kecuali headset (bluetooth) nggak aku pake
4. nggak ada sambungan headset ke port usb type c

so i just bought Google Pixel 2 after 8 months using Nokia 5.1 Plus (anti mainstream ryt i know) there's a reason why i picked Nokia but i won't mention it, it is about the point of view and i'm an anti-mainstream girl. i almost try the newest Advan phone with its three cameras just like the iPhone, it's cool, local brand dare to do innovation.. why not but i saw the ads of Pixel 2 and the price is quite interesting in Balikpapan, it is my dream phone too.. so why not?!

what i got ?

2. battery health is only 75%, checked using accu battery app
